Welcome to Starr Surf Skis

When the crew from Salomon Freeski TV took our skis to Maui last year, their mission was simple: ski as many big waves as possible in one month on the North Shore. They also found out what happens when you throw a kite into the mix.

The video below is a remix of released and unreleased footage from their trip, with a particular focus on kite-skiing. This is the most progressive kite-skiing ever put to film and just the tip of the iceberg for a sport that holds unbridled potential in speed and air. Chuck Patterson once towed into waves on big jumping water skis (see our history page for more on the sport’s beginnings). Surf Skiing’s most hard-charging pioneer, Patterson’s recent West Coast sessions on our Rocket model illustrate just how far things have progressed.
